Summary/objective
The Payroll Administrator will assist the Payroll Manager with the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with state, local and federal government regulations.

  • Maintain employee and payroll records.
  • Variety of payroll processing activities to include but not limited to:
    • Computing wage and overtime payments
    • Calculating and recording payroll deductions
    • Special payments, advance payments, termination payments
    • Balancing earnings and deductions, determining and correcting out of balance conditions
    • Preparing and filing tax reports and payments
    • Processing of garnishments to include child support and levies
    • Researching and preparing special reports
  • Set-up of new employer tax accounts.
  • Calculate and file tax amendments.
  • 1099 processing activities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Starting salary range:
$26.00-$30.00 per hour

Required Education and Experience
  • At least 3-years’ related experience required.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in verbal and written form.
  • Excellent judgement and strong multitasking abilities.
  • Decisive and exercises good judgment under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proactive problem-solver who can research answers and resources to complete complex tasks with little assistance.
  • Consistent discretion when handling sensitive information and/or situations.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • FPC/CPP designation
